PetroTrek for Microsoft Surface combines the power of Infusion Development's Falcon Eye application with iStore's E&P data integration technology to deliver the industry's first Digital Oilfield Surface solution. Falcon Eye enables hands on navigation of places and data from the top down enabling users to see the big picture as well as quickly drill down to points of interests with a flick of the wrist.
Hands-on Access to Oilfield Data
The Falcon Eye / PetroTrek solution delivers comprehensive oilfield data visualization and production reporting with an intuitive, hands-on interface that fits the needs of the operations room or the board room. From the Falcon Eye map easily drill-down to an area of operation to view status indicators, view disposition of platforms and wells and monitor ongoing operations. Because PetroTrek integrates and presents data from wherever it is located, including corporate data repositories and external feeds, users can view current information for a field or well through Surface production bubble plots.
What's more, by combining Surface functionality with a PetroTrek E&P solution running in an optional stand-alone multi-touch LCD display, more detailed reports and analyses can be presented. After locating a field or well of interest via the Surface interface users can access a full range of technical and financial data in the external display, including well logs, production forecasts, documents and the PetroTrek Time Chart for more in depth analysis.
More Than a Touchscreen
Touchscreen technology has existed for decades, however, until now these devices could only track a single touch point. New multi-touch devices can track more than two points simultaneously enabling recognition of simple hand gestures that let users twist, zoom, resize and interact with data in creative new ways. Microsoft Surface tracks dozens of points simultaneously in addition to recognizing objects placed on the table. The result is a device that supports multiple users at the same time, replacing the conference table with an interactive information workspace in a highly collaborative environment.
The Falcon Eye Surface application enables organizations with the Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) to add employee Presence to Surface, enabling real-time tracking of employees and their availability, on-demand video conferencing and more. With the Falcon Eye / PetroTrek solution, asset teams can communicate like never before with colleagues down the hall or on a remote platform.
