iStore Chairman Recognized for Industry Leadership Robert Graebner elected to the Offshore Energy Center's Hall of FameHOUSTON - August 21, 2006 - The Offshore Energy Center (OEC) 2005 Hall of Fame includes Robert Graebner, Chairman of The Information Store's (iStore's) board of directors, for his outstanding achievements in the offshore oil & gas industry. Hall of Fame inductees are recognized for their notable and pioneering role in offshore exploration or production. Robert Graebner receives the OEC Hall of Fame honor for his overall coordination in integrating computing and seismic acquisition technologies that enabled offshore 3D seismic data acquisition. His efforts, along with those of his colleagues, resulted in the first commercial marine 3D survey in 1975, an enabling technology that revolutionized subsurface imaging and the petroleum industry. Graebner joins a prestigious group of industry pioneers elected into the OEC Hall of Fame. In addition to his recognition by OEC, Graebner has garnered numerous other industry awards and honors for his business, entrepreneurial, and technology leadership. Among his most recent citations are the 2005 Maurice Ewing Medal presented by the Society for Exploration Geophysicists and an honorary doctoral degree from the University of Colorado for his active involvement in geoscience education. “When it comes to technology in the petroleum industry, there are few who can match Bob's experience, leadership and pioneering spirit,” said Barry Irani, president and CEO of iStore. “He has changed the way people in our industry use technology to improve performance of their assets.
