Gary Turpin, Technical principal As a technical principal at The Information Store, Gary Turpin offers vast experience in data management for petroleum exploration and production. His expertise covers relational database and object-oriented technology, including administration, systems design, data modeling, database optimization and data access software. Turpin has managed, planned, developed and implemented full-scale systems in client/server and Web environments. For 18 years, Turpin worked as an application and database analyst in Texaco's E&P technology group. There he was responsible for planning, implementing and managing multiple database systems. He facilitated the integration of E&P information into three-dimensional visualization applications. In addition, Turpin developed data integration solutions for E&P systems used by the company and its vendors. Turpin then joined The Information Store, where he has developed major components of the firm's PetroTrek AMS and JVS solutions. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the State University of New York.
